5 SMS Text Message Terms — A2P 10DLC

10 HIPAA — Non-Covered Entity Disclosure

Barnes Health Solutions d/b/a Dee Knows Insurance is an independent insurance agent and broker and is not a HIPAA Covered Entity as defined under 45 CFR §160.103. We do not provide health care treatment, payment, or operations as a health plan or healthcare clearinghouse.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, we handle all health-related information shared with us in the course of our insurance consulting services with strict confidentiality, and we do not disclose such information beyond what is necessary to obtain insurance plan options and facilitate enrollment on your behalf. In circumstances where we may function as a Business Associate to a HIPAA Covered Entity (i.e., an insurance carrier), we comply with applicable Business Associate requirements.

  • The privacy practices or terms of service of any third-party platform, website, or service

Any legal action or proceeding arising from these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Pinellas County, Florida, and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

For residents of states in which we are licensed, applicable state insurance regulations may provide additional or alternative dispute resolution rights, including the right to file complaints with your state's Department of Insurance. You are encouraged to contact your state insurance commissioner if you have concerns about our conduct as a licensed insurance agent.
